The eBay seller (item #180015447666, ending on the 13th of August) of this “sportbuggy” in Fortville, IN says that it’s one of two cars produced, with this being the only one still in existence. It looks to me like a VW buggy a la a Vokaro — a simple small body dropped on a shortened VW chassis. In this case the stock engine appears to have been swapped for a Corvair engine. If anyone knows more about the car, please post!

Dr. Dean who runs this Siva Saluki site pointed out this dishevelled kit car from an Australian eBay ad, which appears to be another mystery Saluki (although it was being sold as an “Eagle”, but given by the description “ferari front end spider doors and a lamboguihni rear” I don’t think the seller quite knew what they had). It apparently rides on a VW Type 3 chassis, has a Mazda steering setup and a box frame at the front. Saluki? What do you think? Or is it a Charger variant? (Click “Charger” in my subject index for pictures of them).

Oh, and if you’re wondering, this ened up selling for $750. I wonder if it’ll be another car that sits in this state forever, or if it will be restored. You might not guess it from these photos, but they’re really quite a pretty car when completed.

Oh, and if you know anything about the history of Sivas, their construction, components, etc., Dean asks that you also contact him via his site where he’s trying to build up an archive of information on this rare vehicle.

I got this rather confusing set of pictures from a fellow Canadian kit car owner wondering exactly what he has. I’m 99% sure it’s an Avenger variant (either official or modded), because every line of the car appears to be correct except for the strange connundrum of the missing hood scoops. I can’t find reference to FiberFab ever having made an Avenger without scoops. Anyone have any information on what this car is?

It’s on a ‘65 Beetle chassis, and is made up of a main body shell, two door shells, the tail cone, a dash, and a rear panel.

This very dusty Ferrari F40 replica on a Fiero chassis is currently in Dubai, originally imported from the United States. A potential buyer was asking me if I had any idea who the original manufacturer was… From these photos, can anyone tell?

Anyone know what this is? I don’t recognize it… It looks like one of the many early variants on VW-based GT-40 and other racecar-for-the-street kits, with quite a few other influences thrown in as well. Anyway, if you recognize it, post a comment please!

I’ve recently mentioned the Siva Saluki as well as the Charger (UK kitcar)… Well, it looks like there’s yet another in this stylistic series, the “Fuhr Motors Osage”, a kit from the eighties built (to the best of my knowledge), using the foamcore methods championed by RQ Riley.

If anyone knows anything more about this ultra-rare car (or the other two I mentioned), please drop me a line with the information and/or pictures!

One of the kookier vehicles driving around Carlilse 2006 is what I assume is a one-off DIY replica of an old Audi Auto Union race cars (if I’m recognizing it correctly, this is a Auto Union Type C/D Hillclimb car). While there are many new components in it, as far as I could tell, it was also built using many much older parts as well (including the driveline). I don’t know much more about this car, so if you do, please drop me a line!
