It’s been a little while since I’ve seen a nice Aztec 7 for sale, so I was happy to see this one — it’s beautiful and is yours at an asking price of only $6,995. It’s a second generation model, done in red/black paint with a tan interior, and is very classic across the board. It’s got a nice cloth interior with a full gauge cluster, and alloy wheels — I’m really blown away by how nice the interior (usually a weak point on this era of kit) looks. If you’re interested, it’s located in Kingman, AZ, and you can contact Mike at mgarcia@wileyautogroup.com.

If you’ve been looking for an Aztec 7, this might be the one to jump at.

Edit: I just realized I’ve seen this car before!

Duffy (xduffyx@gmail.com) is selling this great and clean looking Sterling for a friend (Worth at 425-222-5675) who’s asking $13,500 for the project since he just doesn’t have the time to dedicate to finishing it. He’s also willing to trade for a Vette, BMW, or Benz of similar value. The car’s about 90% done and just needs finishing touches. Driveline is a dual carb 1600cc engine out of a VW of course. The vehicle is located in Fall City (near Seattle).

Duffy writes, “This is the car if you want to be noticed everywhere you go. It’s an affordable supercar that also has great gas mileage — sleek, low-profile, styling combined with VW running gear.”

You may be wondering why I’m posting a Corvette body kit here, but in addition to being a big Vette fan (I owned a ‘74 and a ‘77), Corvette prototypes have been beautiful exotics that have inspired a number of kits, and Corvettes share many construction similarities with kit cars. The Mako Shark Corvette was one of my favorite childhood dreamcars — perfectly achieving the design goal of a car that would “look like it’s moving when it’s standing still!”

Ronald has owned two Mako Shark replicas — the first (the first photo in this entry) was the Motion Performance Built 1972 MORAY GT that was featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines and on the cover of Corvette Fever. His second, now for sale (write him at ronbajorek@hotmail.com if you’re interested) is a Baldwin Motion “Catalog Car” (one of their kits, but pro-built by a different shop).

This one is on a 1973 chassis (L82 original motor — 270hp — with a four speed transmission and A/C), chrome bumpers front and back, reversed Nova Springs on the front end, “MACO” badges still in Motion Performance wrappers, and hooker side pipes. It’s a nice solid car that would be incredible with a complete restoration. He’s asking $20,000 (not much more than a comparable Vette in good shape would cost), and if someone brings this up to the level of the prototype (click the first link in this entry), they’ll have something priceless. The car is located in Pittsford (near Rochester).

Mike (quickaac@yahoo.com) in the Mckinney, Texas area is selling this red and black Bradley GT (oddly, titled as a GT2) that’s been cut down to being a convertible — I’ve always thought the Bradley looks better this way. He says it’s solid but could use a little interior work (black leather padding), and he’s looking for $5,000 or trade for a truck of equivalent value.

The amazing Warp 8 that I posted ages ago is back on eBay (#130277374011) in Blackwood, Caerphilly, UK. If I was in the UK I’d snatch this ultra-rare oddity up in a heartbeat. It’s such a special car! Please, someone restore this beauty!

This kit, a 1980 Bradley GT with a custom paint job (well duh), aftermarket racing seats and harness, aftermarket rims with new tires, 4 wheel disc brakes, line lock and hydro parking brake, LED lights, a turbo-charged 2180 CC fuel-injected VW engine with MSD ignition is up for sale in Salineville, Ohio (about an hour west of Pittsburgh). It was professionally built and is estimated to have about 300 HP (on an IRL transaxle built for the power). If you’re interested call 330-831-6036 — trades for a 5.0 Mustang or Z28 Camaro, or a project Corvette of equal value will be considered as well as a cash deal.

There’s a great looking yellow Manta Mirage up for sale on eBay (#130276088113) in Davenport, Florida with opening bid of $10,000. From the description it sounds like this is the long version (both a short cab and long cab version existed — the latter was required for taller owners). The seller writes,

It will comfortably sit two large adults. It was originally set-up for a driver that was over 6 feet tall. There is plenty of leg room in both the driver’s and passenger’s side compartments. It can cruise equally well on the highway or in city traffic. The engine is a well-built 350 cu. in. Chevy V-8 small block. It has a Holley 4-barrel carb, and a Mallory electronic ignition. It has always been exceptionally well-tuned. It has a 4-speed manual transmission and an electric pump to lubricate the gears at higher speeds. The transmission was completely refurbished by Jones Racing during the car’s restoration. The transmission also has a separate cooler. The cooling system utilizes a big, aluminum Griffin radiator and electric fan so that you can drive this car in the hottest conditions. The suspension is upper and lower A-arms in front with adjustable coil-over shocks with upper and lower control arms for easy camber adjustment. The gauges are new. The tires are 245/50/14 in front and 295/50/15 in the rear. They are in perfect condition with less than 1,000 miles on them. These tires are a perfect balance for both the street and road racing courses. The body was originally painted red in a gel-coat finish. During restoration, we elected to change the color to chromium yellow. There is no chipping, webbing, or paint-over on the body. The original headlights and headlight cans were removed. The headlights were remounted in the front air dam for stylistic purposes. The car includes a removable soft top. However, this top is not appropriate for driving purposes. It is more of a protective soft top when washing or transporting the car. I suppose you could drive with the soft-top in place, but I would not recommend it. All of the lights, turn-signals, and electronics work. During restoration, we installed a AM/FM/CD player with speakers that was not on the original car. The car has a windshield wiper base, however, we removed the wiper for stylistic purposes.

The car was just listed so as I write this there are still almost ten days left in the auction.
