			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Remember <em>Ferris Bueller&#8217;s Day Off</em>? Given that the real deal in Ferrari 250 GTO-land sells for as much as $13 million (one of the guys from <em>Pink Floyd</em> has one), I imagine they destroyed a kitcar.</p>
<p>This one was owned by Bill Wridge in the late 1990s, and was built on a 1972 Datsun 240z and professionally assembled by Tim McBurney using original Ferrari lights, reflectors, emblems, and badges. The dash was replica, but admittedly the rest of the interior was left 240Z&#8230; The wheels still needed to be swapped over to wire from the chrome ones.</p>

<p>The car drives great at over 200 kph, these often hit $30,000 at auction, and are one of the most convincing replicas out there&#8230;. Like too many kits, this was sold well below market value. I think in order to find more space in his garage he ended up letting it go in the $10-$12k range.</p>
