Gull-wing Door Baja Bug Conversion
Ricky really ought to put his email address on his website about VW toys so I could tell him how cool I think this still in progress conversion is. (More pictures here).
I found his page in a search for Delorean pictures. I used to drive a Delorean as my daily driver but have since upgraded to a Porsche 996, and have been day-dreaming about transplanting the Porsche chassis underneath a Delorean body, but comparing pictures I don’t think it could be made to fit.

Man, I love Gull-wings. I never thought I would see them on a Bug but it looks good. That would be a fun bug to drive.

Ware far from the Porsche purists!! we chop and fabricate on just about all of ther chassis. we put Lamborghinis on Boxsters, gull wings on 928 & 944. we stuffed Ford v1 in a 944 as well. BUT Delorian on a 996,,, LOVE IT ,, drop us a line
You could always transplant a Porsche engine into a DeLorean. It is possible. They did it for the DeLorean from Back to the Future 2 and 3 (but not 1, that had the original engine).

i want to convert a VW mk2 to one that has gullwing doors like your beetle can you give me some ideas of how to hing the doors?? and how far back into the roof do i have to cut?? etc..

and to be honest with you my blood pressure went to the roof, cause I wish I could do the same to my beetle (the most beautiful car ever, that vw should allow you redesign).

Delorean on a porsche? Why? Deloreans looked cool. But infact they were heavy behemoths that could barely pull themselves down the road. A car dealership in Delphos Oh, used to have 2. Ive driven one, and even tho the owner was in the passenger seat and I didnt try to get too ambitious with the accelerator, I could tell its a sluggish ride. And theyre eyeball magnets. I wanna see a crx on a cj5 frame, backwards, with flipped axles. somethin like a good ol 4.3l GM cuddled up to that borg-warner 4 that the cjs had. it would be cool til you broke it.
