If the Amante GT is white and pictured on the kitcarworkshop.com, then its my old car, built from kit in the 70’s with a Corvair engine and later converted to electric.

Casey, there are numerous upgrades for the Volkswagen flat-four. Mid-America Motorworks (www.mamotorworks.com) has a wide variety of performance upgrades for that engine, and I would recommend Mid-America Motorworks to anyone with a stock or customised V.W. beetle, bus, Ghia or Type-3, a beach buggy, a V.W.-powered trike, or a V.W.-based kit car.

Have one for sale now here in NC – $2100 on titled rolling IRS pan with 4 speed trans – no engine. All glass good, body great but needs paint. Has complete vintage interior-
